Hi, I’m Carla Monaco-Lacher, your host. I’m originally from Brazil, where I grew up surrounded by the lush beauty of tropical plants—an environment that first sparked my love for orchids. For the past 15 years, I’ve been growing orchids in South Florida, where the climate lets these remarkable plants thrive year-round.

My passion deepened through active involvement with one of the oldest and largest orchid societies in South Florida. As a longtime member and former Show Chair, I’ve had the privilege of organizing annual shows and connecting with growers, enthusiasts, and experts from around the world.
